The number of adults and children illegally trafficked to, and within, the UK has risen significantly in recent years.
This practice note is not up to date and is currently under review, due to:
- recent case law developments concerning this area of criminal law
- revisions to the Crown Prosecution Service guidance on prosecuting cases where the defendant may be a victim of trafficking or modern slavery
We hope to publish updates in February 2022.
