Once the criminal trial process is engaged, you owe professional obligations both to the defendant(s) for whom you act, but also to the court.
This practice note gives advice on the issues you might have to deal with if you’re considering either withdrawing from representing a defendant, or taking on a transferred case, close to or during the trial.
