Consumer Protection Regulations in conveyancing

This practice note provides guidance on the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 (CPRs) and the implications for conveyancing practice.

Note: the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 has become law after receiving royal assent on 24 May 2024. The legislation will revoke the CPRs but make broadly similar provision.

We are considering the impact of the legislation and its implications for conveyancers. We will update this practice note when it comes into force.
