Danny Smith
Council member for Shropshire and Herefordshire
Danny is head of the criminal department and qualified as a solicitor in September 2007. Since then, he has found his finesse in criminal law.
He advises clients at the police station and at court and particularly enjoys unusual cases. He is a Crown Court advocate.
Danny has successfully defended a range of cases in both the magistrates', Crown Court and Court of Appeal, from motoring offences through to murder.
He regularly appears before the Crown Court and has a wealth of experience in court martials and the coroners court.
Danny became the Shropshire Law Society president in November 2022.
Danny has an honorary doctorate in laws from Staffordshire University for being a champion in his profession as solicitor advocate and through his continuous support of students.
