Mark set up his firm in 1994. Based in Oxfordshire, it has grown a team of around 18 lawyers. Three of his former trainees are now equity partners in the firm.
He has written several textbooks on commercial law subjects, two of which (Drafting Confidentiality Agreements and Execution of Documents) are published by the Law Society.
He designed, and for the last decade has convened, an annual course on IP transactions at UCL, where he is a visiting professor. The course won a “highly commended” at the Law Society Excellence Awards.
He is a former chair of the Law Society’s IP Law Committee. During his time as chair, he helped to steer new legislation, and twice gave oral evidence to Parliament.
