Mary discovered a deep interest in family law after securing a position at Blakemores in Coventry. In 2004, her career took her to Birmingham city centre, where in 2007 she became a partner at then-Martineau Johnson.
In 2008, Mary was elected to Birmingham Law Society Council, and began her longstanding association with Birmingham Law Society, serving as president from 2012 to 2013.
Mary was a partner at Shakespeare Martineau from 2007 until April 2022. She was a founder member of the Birmingham Law Society family committee.
In May 2022, Mary moved to Rayden Solicitors who are an award-winning specialist firm of family solicitors with offices in Hertfordshire and London. She opened the office in Birmingham and developed the team.
