I come from a small town in Lincolnshire from a working class family. My parents thought that getting good results at university was enough and I had no reason to doubt that theory.
I did my Legal Practice Course at Nottingham and finished without a training contract.
I started to doubt my career choice but pushed on.
I kept doing work experience and was clear that I was passionate about becoming a solicitor, which came across at the interview where I finally got my training contract.
