The Law Society of England and Wales’ Legal Heroes 2023 are now open for nominations. This is an opportunity to recognise the solicitors who have made the biggest difference to the lives of others, their local communities and society over the last two years.
“We want to recognise and celebrate solicitors who have made a lasting and tangible difference and brought distinction to the profession,” said Law Society President Lubna Shuja.
“Solicitors are the backbone of the justice system, providing valuable support and advice to people, businesses and government.
“Whilst there are many awards that recognise professional excellence and the delivery of legal services, Legal Heroes will highlight individuals who have shown an exceptional commitment to drive positive change as part of or alongside their legal work.
“Perhaps they made a real difference to their place of work to help colleagues or had a profound impact on an important legal cause; they might have a long history of volunteering in their community or developed a new area of law or established legal rights to protect a vulnerable group.
Solicitors across England and Wales are invited to nominate their Legal Heroes throughout March and April.
Nominations will be judged by a panel. 2023’s Legal Heroes will be announced in September.
“This year’s Legal Heroes will be invited to an exclusive celebration event with me and will be publicly recognised by the Law Society,” Lubna Shuja added.
Do you have someone in mind? Show your support for the people that inspire you and tell their story. Nominate by midnight on 30 April 2023.
