Cardiff Business SchoolDebbie is Professor of Employment Relations and Diversity at Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University. She was lead researcher and grant holder on the project "Legally Disabled? The Career Experiences of Disabled People Working in the Legal Profession" and recently co-produced a follow up project also in partnership with the Law Society, to evaluate the effects of COVID-19 on working the practices of disabled people in law.
In October 2020, Debbie was invited to co-ordinate a Welsh Government enquiry into the impact of Covid-19 on disabled people in partnership with its Disability Equality Forum. This is due to make recommendations to the Welsh Government by February 2021. Debbie self-identifies as a disabled person and supports a social model of disability.
