Sign up to attend an In-house Network seminar in Leeds on 23 June 2025. Dr Jim Baxter will present on an ethics framework and you'll hear a panel discussion on the topic of in-house ethics, with an opportunity to ask questions.

Professional ethics has evolved into an increasingly complex and, at times, contested landscape.

As your professional body, the Law Society has a role in supporting members to navigate this changing landscape.

The Law Society has worked with IDEA Leeds to develop a suite of resources and content to support in-house solicitors with ethical practice.

Event details

Dr Jim Baxter, IDEA Centre professional ethics consultancy team leader, will present on an ethics framework.

This will be followed by a panel discussion on the topic of in-house ethics and an opportunity for Q&A.

Confirmed speakers for the panel discussion currently include:

Justinia Lewis, commercial law director, government legal department
Luke Corcoran, senior lawyer, government legal department

Drinks and nibbles will be served afterwards for those wishing to continue the discussion or simply to meet other in-house solicitors from the Leeds area.

The event is exclusively for in-house counsel, including junior solicitors.
