Implementing whistleblowing arrangements

This version has been archived

This practice note is aimed at firms looking to:
  • understand their regulatory obligations to raise concerns and report to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)
  • develop a whistleblowing policy

Guidance for individual solicitors can be found in our practice note on raising concerns and whistleblowing – guidance for staff.

The SRA Standards and Regulations 2019 replaced the SRA Handbook (2011) from 25 November 2019.

This practice note is the Law Society’s view of good practice in this area, and is not legal advice. For more information see the legal status.
