This practice note will help you to understand your obligations to raise concerns and report to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). It will also help you to develop a whistleblowing policy.
This practice note is relevant to employers in SRA-related practices.
It may also be of interest to other organisations with in-house solicitors, whether supervised by another regulatory body or not.
Guidance for individual solicitors can be found in our practice note on raising concerns and whistleblowing: guidance for staff.
This practice note is the Law Society’s view of good practice in this area, and is not legal advice. For more information, see the legal status.
