The Law Council for Wales is an advisory body established to provide expert legal advice and recommendations to the Welsh government on the development and implementation of Welsh law.

It focuses on making sure the legal system in Wales is coherent, accessible and responsive to the needs of its citizens.

In particular, it focuses on areas of devolved responsibility such as:

  • health
  • education
  • local government

The Law Society Wales office assists with secretariat duties to the Law Council for Wales.
